Lavender, baby!

For as long as I can remember, my grandmother had lavender hair.  Not the roller set bouffant, but a white-white up-do with an unusual lavender tint, so wavy and soft it could’ve been whipped around on a paper cone like cotton candy.  Everything about her was pretty and I wanted to be in her vibe.  I’m sure she didn’t smell like lavender, but somehow I recall a faint hint of floral water…maybe rose.

I love floral waters.  I love, love, love to spray lavender or rose water on my face just before I put on make up or when I’m traveling.  Just as refreshing and handy to use on a road trip as on a stuffy airplane.  Once you use floral water, it’s hard to go without.  And why should you?  I mean, really.  Why should you?  It’s available everywhere or you can make it yourself.  You can find a fun recipe here.  Spray your little heart out, baby!

See you next year!

Glam up your bar scene, baby!

Many people think soap is soap and what’s the big deal anyway?  OMG, I think I just fell off my bubble.  Soap Tart soap is made using the old, cold process method and takes about one month to cure.  We take our time to make sure you get quality, all-natural soap without the use of chemicals, big machines or synthetic dyes or fragrances.  The base oils consists of organic sunflower, palm and coconut oils.  Then herbs, additional ingredients such as shea butter, jojoba oil, avocado oil, cocoa butter and a blend of pure essential oils are added to create a wonderful bar of soap that feels fantastic, smells great and has just the right amount of cool, silky-smooth lather.  So if you’re going glam this holiday season, make sure you glam up your bar scene too.  Try a box for yourself and then treat everyone on your gift list.  Yeah, baby!

Happy Halloween!

Don't you just love Halloween?  Another opportunity to dress up!  Of course I want to look radiant too!  Why not try a healthy facial mask to do the trick?  Masks can clean deep, tighten pores and gently exfoliate, leaving you with a brighter complexion.  And who doesn't want that?  Have you tried using pumpkin for this delicious facial treat?  That's right, sweetie.  Pumpkin!  Just combine a few teaspoons of fresh or canned pumpkin, add a smidgen (1/2 teaspoon) of honey and a 1/4 teaspoon of milk or whipping cream (ooh la la).  Gently apply this mixture to your face in a circular fashion, avoiding the delicate area around your eyes.  Let it stay on for 10 to 15 minutes and wash off with warm water.

You're looking good, baby!

Fall is in the air.

Fall is here and that means jumping in the big leaf pile that your sister just painstakingly raked neatly in the yard.  It also means colder or drier weather that can make your skin dry too.  Ohh, that’s not good.  What’s a girly girl like you to do?  Besides starting out with a great soap with moisturizing ingredients like shea or cocoa butter, have you tried a little olive oil?  It’s great on your salad, but is just as wonderful on your skin too!  Just rub a little on extra dry patches, like your knees and elbows.  Or add a couple of drops in a spray bottle with water to mist on your legs.  It’s rich in antioxidants and Vitamin E.  Ohhh, now that’s good!  And share with your sister cuz now she has to rake those leaves again.  Ok, sweetness, stay tuned next time for more all-natural skincare tips.
